The Florida Superior Small Lodging Association (SSL) has just announced that 32 local hotels have been named winners of the organization’s prestigious White Glove Award. In fact, 40% of all statewide 2010 White Glove Award winners are located in Broward County.
While there are thousands of hotels, motels, B&Bs, travel lodges, inns, beach houses, resorts, etc. across the state, offering some 370,000 rooms to Florida’s more than 80-million annual visitors, 32 outstanding locations in the Greater Fort Lauderdale area have earned this year’s highly coveted “Donald A. Dermody White Glove Award” for housekeeping excellence. The Award recognizes hotel owners who have made outstanding contributions to the Small Lodging Association’s mission and business objective of benchmarking housekeeping excellence and exceptional service.
Broward’s award winning properties are: The Berkshire Beach Club in Deerfield Beach; Thirteen Fort Lauderdale properties: Birch Patio Motel, By-Eddy Apartments, Coral Reef Guesthouse, Estoril Paradise Inn, Flamingo-Inn Amongst The Flowers, Ft. Lauderdale Manhattan Tower, Napoli Belmar Resort, Pillars at New River Sound, Pineapple Point Guest House, Royal Palms Resort, Sun Tower Hotel & Suites, Tropi Rock Resort and the Villa Venezia. Nine Hollywood properties: Atlantic Sands Beach Suites, Curtis Inn, DeSoto Oceanview Inn, Grenier's on the Beach, Hollywood Beach Golf Resort, Manta Ray Inn, Quality Inn & Suites, Ocean Drive Villas, and the Ocean Inn. In Lauderdale-By-The-Sea five properties: Best Florida Resort, High Noon Beach Resort, Sea Lord Hotel & Suites, Sea Spray Inn, and the Windjammer Resort & Beach Club. In Pompano Beach: Bahama Beach Club, Cottages by the Ocean, Dolphin Apartments & Motel, Pelican Place Apartments, and the Pineapple Place.
